Otorimonogatari (囮物語) or OTORIMONOGATARI: Decoy Tale in the English publication, is the seventh part of the Monogatari series. It is the tenth book overall, and contains the story Nadeko Medusa (なでこメドゥーサ). The title is portmanteau of otori, "decoy", and monogatari, "story". Otorimonogatari (囮物語(おとりものがたり), Otorimonogatari), also known as Decoy Tale, is the fourth volume of the Second Season (セカンドシーズン, Sekando Shīzon) and the tenth overall volume of the Monogatari Series, written by Nisio Isin and illustrated by VOFAN. Otorimonogatari is an odd entry in the Monogatari series. Due to the toning down of the comedic aspects and use of a third person perspective, this is a very different Monogatari to the usual.
